Description
Void was an interesting film. I had to create a piece from an earlier piece that was made for Supernova. With this film, I wanted to explore a low poly style with ominous elements. I experimented a lot with fog lighting, a large scene setup, and how the camera would chase the ship on its journey towards an anomaly in space. I love space and what is out there from things that may seem creepy to the endless beauty that is created in a vacuum. I think the idea of exploration and embracing the unknown is what makes us human and unique, and through this film, I wanted to explore that even if it was a darker side. The low poly style was something I was interested in when first starting my 3d motion design projects and I think this helped people use their imagination setting up the rest of the scene on their own. I would love to remake this film with a higher quality ship and using redshift and X-Particles to enhance its atmosphere.
Behind The Scenes

Atmosphere and lighting were key elements in this project. A lot of noise lights were used to create its atmosphere in scenes to give it a spacious feel. The clutter and debris spread through a vast space giving it a larger than life sense.
